Loren is absolutely phenomenal as an IB trainer. He has the ability to break down tricky content to make it so much easier to understand. He specifically helped me with many questions regarding the Internal Assessment grading process, which has always been a challenge. Loren was absolutely incredible! He demonstrated what it should look like as a TOK teacher, modeling guiding questions and discussions during all of the activities he shared. All of his activities were engaging and the energy and enthusiasm of the room was at a peak whenever he was leading the workshop. Very knowledgeable in TOK as well, he answered questions well but also let us process the material and discover the answers ourselves.

Loren did a great job of sharing his own experiences and offering instruction in a way that was engaging, friendly, and real. He was as interested as the participants in addressing the challenges of TOK in a way that made it collegial instead of leader/participant - I love that!

Loren is the best of the best. He has an incredible presence that allows for all participants to feel safe and honored. During discussion of content and implementation, his knowledge and honesty allowed for a very deep conversation where all participants were engaged. While he respected multiple perspectives, he also made participants think critically when he questioned some of their thinking. Participant tasks had been well prepared in advance. Reflection time was given at the end of each presentation- which allowed for transfer to take place. I was impressed with the culture of the room, the critical thinking, the participant engagement and the amount of agency and critical thinking and transfer that was happening in such a short period of time.
