International Baccalaureate

With more than 30 years of experience in the International Baccalaureate (IB), I have served as a teacher, coordinator, IB examiner, and workshop leader within the IB Educator Network. I have successfully built IB programmes from the ground up and previously served as president of North Carolina’s regional association of IB schools (IBSNC). Drawing on this extensive experience, I support schools in establishing and implementing IB programmes, refining and strengthening existing frameworks, and providing targeted guidance for teachers, coordinators, and administrators to better serve their IB communities.

Programme Building and Implementation

Establishing an IB programme is an exciting opportunity—but it can also feel overwhelming. From developing curriculum frameworks to establishing administrative and academic structures, every step must align with the IB’s Standards and Practices while creating a meaningful student experience.

My team of experienced consultants partners with schools to navigate the IB authorization process with clarity and confidence. We help you design a rigorous, inquiry-based programme that fosters academic excellence, global-mindedness, and the holistic development of every student. Whether you’re just beginning your IB journey or strengthening an existing programme, we’re here to ensure your implementation is strategic, sustainable, and impactful.

Programme Evaluation

My team of highly experienced IB coordinators and administrators supports schools in evaluating their IB programmes to ensure they align with the IB’s Standards and Practices and effectively meet institutional goals. Using a comprehensive approach that includes data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and programme audits, we help identify both strengths and areas for growth.

We collaborate closely with school leadership and faculty to refine curriculum and instructional practices, with a focus on strengthening inquiry-based teaching, developing Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, and fostering globally minded students. Our goal is to help schools continuously improve and evolve their IB programmes to meet the demands of a dynamic educational landscape.

IB Continuum and Culture

My team of highly experienced IB consultants helps districts build a strong schoolwide and districtwide IB continuum and culture by providing comprehensive support to both educators and administrators. Through targeted professional development at the school and district levels, we ensure that educators understand and effectively implement the core components of an IB education.

We support teachers in integrating the IB Learner Profile and the concept of international mindedness into their curriculum, fostering meaningful connections across subject areas.

Additionally, we work with schools to embed IB principles into daily instructional practices, cultivating a cohesive and dynamic learning environment that reflects the IB philosophy at every level.

Professional Development

As a longtime member of the IB Educator Network (IBEN), I provide comprehensive professional development for the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and the broader IB continuum. I support DP coordinators in managing their multifaceted roles and maximizing available IB resources to strengthen programme implementation.

For DP faculty, I offer guidance on effectively managing all components of the DP Core—including Extended Essay (EE) supervision, integrating Theory of Knowledge (TOK) into subject instruction, and enriching students' CAS experiences. I also provide practical tools and

strategies for integrating Approaches to Learning (ATL) skill development across all IB programmes, with a focus on fostering equity and inclusion for every student.

If your programme needs are specific to the PYP, MYP, or CP, my team of highly experienced consultants—each a member of IBEN—is ready to support your school’s journey with the same level of expertise and commitment.
