Professional Development

With decades of experience observing, training, and supporting educators, I design dynamic, collaborative professional development tailored to the specific needs of each group or individual. Whether guiding teachers in implementing inquiry-based learning with mixed-ability groups, building students’ academic, social, and self-management skills, or advising on program-specific tasks, my approach ensures that educators are actively engaged, supported, and respected for both their expertise and their needs.

Skills Development

Effective teaching goes beyond delivering content. Students also need to develop essential academic, social, and self-management skills to succeed. When teachers intentionally integrate skill development into their instruction, they empower students to think critically, communicate effectively, and manage their learning with confidence. Skills such as inquiry, organization, collaboration, and resilience help students not only grasp subject matter more deeply but also apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. By making skill development an intentional part of teaching, educators prepare students for success in both academics and life.

With my extensive experience in teacher training, IB education, and magnet program development, I provide educators with practical strategies and targeted support to seamlessly integrate skill-building into their instruction—ensuring both students and teachers thrive.

Standards Based Grading

Accurate, equitable assessment is key to meaningful teaching and learning. I support schools and educators in implementing standards-based grading practices that clearly communicate what students know and can do. By shifting the focus from points and percentages to mastery of content and skills, schools can foster deeper learning, promote growth, and better support all students.

Through my consulting work, I guide educators in developing high-quality rubrics that align with academic standards and support the assessment

of both content understanding and essential skills—such as analysis, communication, and problem-solving. These tools not only clarify expectations for students, but also help teachers provide targeted feedback that drives progress. When thoughtfully designed and implemented, standards-based grading empowers students to take ownership of their learning and gives teachers a clearer picture of where each learner is on the path to mastery.

Equity and Inclusion

Equity and inclusion are at the heart of meaningful, transformative education. Every student deserves the best academic opportunities a school has to offer, giving them the opportunity to realize their academic potential. My work as an educational consultant is grounded in this belief.

reducing barriers to demanding academic opportunities. I have provided students the chance to realize their academic potential in spaces that have not been historically inclusive or welcoming, and I have prepared numerous teachers, counselors and coordinators to do the same. My goal is to help your school build an inclusive culture where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.

International Baccalaureate

As a longtime member of the IB Educator Network (IBEN), I provide comprehensive professional development for the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and the broader IB continuum. I support DP coordinators in managing their multifaceted roles and maximizing available IB resources to strengthen programme implementation.

For DP faculty, I offer guidance on effectively managing all components of the DP Core—including Extended Essay (EE) supervision,

integrating Theory of Knowledge (TOK) into subject instruction, and enriching students' CAS experiences. I also provide practical tools and strategies for integrating Approaches to Learning (ATL) skill development across all IB programmes, with a focus on fostering equity and inclusion for every student.

If your programme needs are specific to the PYP, MYP, or CP, my team of highly experienced consultants—each a member of IBEN—is ready to support your school’s journey with the same level of expertise and commitment.
